Games for the National Parks
FACES OF HISTORY is just the answer to the dreaded "Are We There Yet?" Each game comes in a travel-friendly pack designed to provide fun for the family on the go, in the car, or wherever they are. Each game features a full-color mask, quotes, biography, and trivia questions about a famous American.
The FACES OF HISTORY series includes:
- George Washington and the American Revolution
- Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Women's Rights
- Abraham Lincoln and the Civil War
- Mark Twain - Life in the Wild West
- Ben Franklin - Author, Inventor, Patriot
- Clara Barton and the founding of the Red Cross
History comes alive when each player uses the face mask to take a turn at "being" a famous American, and answers fun, multiple-choice trivia questions. These questions are all based on facts and quotes taken from the biographies, such as:
- As a young boy, Ben Franklin wrote stories under the pen name of Mrs. Silence Dogood. Then he went out at night to slip them under the door of his brother's print shop.
- Clara Barton helped identify the bodies of 13,000 Union soldiers at Andersonville Prison in 1865.
- George Washington's false teeth were actually made from a combination of cow's teeth, ivory, metal, and springs.
In addition to its retail value, the FACES OF HISTORY game will also increase awareness of, and interest in, the lives of famous Americans featured throughout the National Park system.
